The City of Culture judges will arrive in Sunderland over the next few months so we thought it would be a great opportunity to show them how creative Mackems can be!
We are going to be designing and publicly displaying a banner showcasing art made in Sunderland, and we need your help in making it happen!
You don’t need talent or skill, or to be of any particular age to join in! Literally splashing some colour on paper is a contribution! You just need to be from Sunderland and have a will to support our city in winning big in our UK City of Culture Bid
Come down to one of our banner art sessions and create your own picture to add.
Venue: Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens
Dates: Saturday 2nd Sept & 23rd Sept & 7th October
Times: 1pm – 3pm
If you can’t make any of those dates, you can also drop into the Museums Art Gallery (upstairs!) anytime to create your picture. Just leave it at the desk and we will collect it to add to the banner.Further Dates and locations to be announced. See you soon!
